Hi,I have stripped off 3 layers of paint so far, but there is a lot of paint left in the grooves of the wooden door that I can't seem to get out. The original goal was to stain the door, but if I do it now the white paint left on there will shine through. I don't think I'm ever going to get the paint off 100%, so I'm looking for an alternative to staining it. Currently the plan is to paint the door white, but out of curiosity, how would Gel stain work over existing paint? Ideally I'd like something that covers up the existing paint well enough to hide it, but not something as opaque as latex paint that will cover the grain and details of the door. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2rmMA6T
