I've done a little research myself. I got a 1acre mostly flat yard with a few obstacles. I want a zero turn, but I don't want to pay more than $3k. What I am hoping for is a dealer to have a pre-owned model to sell. Barring that I am wondering what to value at the dealership vs box store? Everyone has said don't go to Home Depot or Lowes, go straight to a dealer. Better quality and all that. The problem is that there is some overlap in the mowers they both carry. Is there a general rule to follow when comparing the two? Am I delusional thinking I can find a good mower for 3k even if I'm okay with used?
