It seems like every stapler on the market these days has really weak metal on the front part that bends after the first real jam and keeps the whole thing from ever working right again. They used to be built sturdier but I've been through half a dozen staplers in the last few years, ranging from dollar store junk to a reasonably nice swingline, and none have them have been materially better than the dollar store junk. Is there anything out there under, say, $20 that this doesn't happen with? And if not, is there anything at any price that's still basically bullet proof, short of those massive binding staplers that you could just about staple a whole book with? Much more than $20 is out of the budget for a stapler at the moment, but it would be nice to know going forward.
