Hi! I am planning for my special day. My amazing boyfriend proposed two weeks ago and I'm so excited to be married! I'm not keen on going broke though for the big day.

Here are some frugal choices I've already sort of made:

-I'm going to use my mom's wedding dress (which she sewed together with my grandma) and get it altered drastically by a seamstress friend to be more fashionable and modern than the 1980s look of full sleeves and high neck and long train that my mom had. I'm excited to play with all the fabric and make this 35 year old dress new again.

-I am not going to have bridesmaids or groomsmen. Just one maid of honour and a best men as they seem to be the ones with real tasks.

-I want everything for my wedding to happen in one venue, most likely the church I was raised in and am still a member in (renting this building for members is less than $100/day)

-I am accepting all offers of help and assistance people are so graciously offering. My cousin told me her gift for me would be doing my makeup and hair for my wedding (it's what she does for a living), and a friend offered to lend me decorations and her 1950s-esque veil from her wedding.

I need tips though for food! I am saving everywhere else and I really want to put on a good meal. I haven't gone over numbers, but a rough stab in the dark is somewhere between 100~150 guests. How can I feed a crowd a good meal for cheap?

TL;DR === I want to have a classy wedding but as cheap as possible, and I only really want to spend money on food. How can I feed a crowd of up to 150 in the most cost-effective way, yet have some class? (I'm not at all for a potluck at my wedding)
