So I'm digging out for a paver patio. Everything I'm reading and watching says you have to slope the base down 1 inch for every 4 feet. I've searched all the tutorials and watched many videos and I can't figure out the answer to this question. My question is - how do I slope it so that the part of the patio farthest from the house isn't 3 inches below ground level? If I am using a 3 inch base and 1 inch of sand, with 2 inch pavers, I started digging at the house 6 inches down. When I get farthest from the house it's 9 inches, so the pavers will sit 3 inches in the ground.What am I figuring wrong, or how do I fix this? via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2roOXn1
