Combining the idea of "buy high, sell higher" and growth stocks, I've got a portfolio with 10% return since February versus the 7% of SPY for the same time frame. I use the below parameters to find growthish stocks, then scan the charts for upward trends. Pick the best 5-10 and sit on them for a month of three. Most of them went 15%, a couple stopped out. Worked surprisingly well!
