Looking to swap this skirting with wood ,l will be laying a wood Floor as well, the wiring in this flat sits in a holding case within the plastic skirting and the wiring can't be moved.I was thinking of placing a strip of matching wood along the wall and nailing the skirting to that the wiring sticks out 16mm , the wood strip would sit above the wiring same diameter then the skirting as thin as I can get nailed to that.To make matters more difficult the wiring also feeds round the door within the architrave (special brackets ,slide on plastic skirting.)Don't know how to resolve this issue without a lot of hassle seeing there will be 2 big gaps, one between the door and others side of wiring . Id have to fit 2 strips of wood along each side then what about the corner joints .The architrave will stick out as well. Not sure how to proceed ??? via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2qHNee4
