Hello everyone, a little backstory.. I was hit by van while walking in 2010, landing me in the ER for 6 hours, and about 2700 dollars in debt. This was a hit and run and he never was caught so I obviously could not sue. Since then I have accrued debt from multiple places (mostly medical, no credit cards), and currently have 8 negative marks (all in collections) and owe about $4,000. My hours fluctuate but I make about 1400 to 2000 per month with around 1200 in bills and food. I have a 2 year old and would like to own a home in the future. What are the best actions to take to get rid of this debt?
