OK so I'm a pretty non-materialistic person. The most I treat myself to in terms of material possessions are new clothes each season, and a good video game when something I've been following drops.(1-3 times a year ) On paper I should be a money saving machine. However for as long as I've been working I've had a pretty nasty eating out addiction.

I'm not talking about just fast food. Basically just any snack not coming from my house. Chipotle, taco bell, convenient store etc. I'm a bit of a health nut so I'll usually "justify it" with making it a healthier decision like a protein shake or some fruit, but those still cost money.

Like I'm not joking when i say its the main culprit to not saving more money. I calculated my expenses and I spent a whopping $200.00 within the last two weeks. On eating out alone. This has plagued me since I started working my first job 8 years ago.

Now I'm trying to make some kind of concrete method to break this habit for good.

The one kicker is I'm a single dude and I happen to date a lot. A couple times a month, which usually involves going out for coffee drinks, food etc. last week I spent $50.00 on a girl whom a I knew immediately I wasn't taking on a second date and was kicking myself all night. Not to mention going out to social events with friends.

To summarize in one sentence. I need help breaking this addiction without having to give up social interactions and dating or become the cheapskate nobody wants to be around.

Help is extremely appreciated.
