basically, the title says it all. I am interested in BIFL, but I a have limited ressources at the moment. I wonder how much you think, or know, you saved. For exemple, if you bought one 100$ appliance which lasted you 50 years instead of 3 appliances of 50$, you saved 50$ in the long run.
