Okay so a bit of a long story. I am 21yo male. I have about 20 college credits and i really want to go back to school while i am still young. I have been working full time for the last 2 years so i can have health insurance etc. i make about 34000 a year and have no debt or bills other then car insurance and cell phone. Which is 200 a month combined. I recently bought a used car for 3500 in cash. I currently have no savings. I know i should have been saving this whole time but from august on i will be saving 500 per paycheck minimum.
My problem is i want to start school in September at the local community college. I have registered for classes starting September 1. 12 credits. About 2300. I have until july 25th to pay or else i have to drop the classes. Which if i have to i guess its no big deal i can wait until spring but i really rather go sooner.
I can not complete fafsa because my mom wont give me her tax returns. She has some mental issues and there is no way around it. Shes not mean or anything but i just cant get them.
I just applied for a 5000 sallie mae loan and was denied.
Basically i need to know if there is any way i can get approved for a loan by july to cover the 2300. I will have it paid back within 6 weeks but i just need the initial money to get me started.
What other loans can i apply for/ how can i make this happen.
If its not possible i can wait and save but i feel i really need to get to school. I am a lot more mature now and know i will take it seriously especially if i am paying for it myself. I make enough to pay it off but i don't know how to get help to get me started.
Any advice is appreciated!
