At least I'm pretty sure I did. It happened so fast, a free windshield inspection while I was pumping gas turned into "I can fix this in 5 minutes" and I'm too shy to say no to people and before I realized it was a fishy situation the guy was already doing the "repair" on a small chip on my window and I had already given him my car insurance information. When I left I google searched the company and it's pretty clear it's a scam where they will file a claim with my insurance company for who knows how much and if it's denied they will try to bill me for extensive repairs? And my insurance might go up? I read they could try to file multiple claims?
I know I was stupid and should have just driven away but here I am, what can I do now to fix it? Should I contact my insurance company? Do I have to just wait to see what claim(s) are filed? Thanks in advance for any advice.
