Goooood morning everyone, I posted here a long while ago and I'm on the last step of fixing up my backyard. I want to have better grass and have been slowly trying to figure out what to do, here is where I'm at right now: http://ift.tt/2rYB3HQ yard is full of creeping bentgrass which I do not want. I know it looks nice if cut short but the lawn is taken care of by a landscaping company that I can't talk to. I want to replace the yard with tall fescue grass (I'm in zone 7A). But I need to know what the process to kill off the existing lawn and start new would be. Here is what I'm thinking:Cut existing grass short (rental equipment)Aerate existing lawn (rental equipment)Add gypsum to existing lawn (it's clay soil)Lay down newspaper over existing lawnLay down a layer of new top soil & organic compostSpread new grass seed & fertilizerPray that new grass holds and old grass diesCan someone rip apart my ideas or tell me if it's feasible? via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2rUmqG7
