Laugh away, I know it was not a smart move to major in English literature. I actually had a direct plan when I chose my major, teaching, but plans changed. I will probably go to grad school in the future, but due to my current financial circumstances, it is not possible right now.

I have been looking at all sorts of jobs and most of the entry level jobs pay around $30-$35K/yr.

I am moving to the suburbs south of Seattle after graduation (with roommates), so I am expecting to spend about $1,000-$1300/month on rent, car insurance, phone bill, and groceries. I thought being close-ish to Seattle would be advantageous job wise, but the ones that I qualify for pay about the same as the minimum wage. Also, paying for parking and gas to get to Seattle every day would easily amount to over $400/month.

I have $18,000 in student loans and my monthly payment will be around $260/month starting in December.

Should I be taking the $30K/year jobs right now and working my way up?
