Hi personal finance, I could use your help. I am currently living in Paris, and I was banking with La Banque Postale. Unfortunately this is a tough time for me financially, and I ended up overdrafting my account too many times. The last overdraft was reported to the French central bank and my account was closed (or so I assume -- I haven't received any written notice). I have paid back what was owed to the bank, but my question is this: Will I be able to open another bank account with another bank? Am I on some kind of blacklist now?
I won't be able to meet with my previous banker until next week and am looking for some guidance....
