So Im working part time at a local ice rink for some extra money and I recently forgot to clock out about a 2 weeks ago. We use a mobile app to clock in and out so when I noticed, I clocked out 15 hours after my shift had ended. The app has a feature to leave "notes" with your shift that I believe are highly visible to whoever does the payroll, and I left a note with my clock out stating that I had forgotten to clock out as well as including the exact time I left the building. I figured that note as well as the fact that I had unusually high hours for a part timer would be enough for my employer to catch it, but I just received an extra 120 on my paycheck. What should my next course of action be, ethics aside? I am not entirely confident that they would ever notice the extra money they gave me given how unorganized and unprofitable the facility as a whole is. I also feel like I have done enough to right the error that even if I dont come forward the blame falls on who was managing the payroll.
