I removed the key-board tray from my desk and instead of throwing it away I thought it would be nice to use it to make my desk bigger. I want to attach it with hinges to the end of my desk and snap up or fold back down as needed. This album shows what I'm working with and what I've considered using.I'm thinking I'll use a single folding shelf bracket to attach the center of the board with the end of my desk and add hinges to each end for extra stability.Or I could use two folding brackets instead. The edge of the desk juts out ~1.1 in from the support so I might also need some sort of block/spacer on the spot I install the folding bracket. I wanted to know if anyone has any tips on how I should proceed. Or if there's a simpler way of extending my desk. I'm not very good at DIY and generally end up using lots of glue or duct tape as finishing touches to hold my projects together because I don't really know what I'm doing.Appreciate any help, thank you. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2plyzX7
