Gonna make this short. I used to be a real estate agent at a large firm in a big city, also sold various drugs, rather high up on the food chain. That ended badly after several years with a relapse on drugs (I'm a recovering addict) that cost me everything. I'm now starting a career driving 18 wheelers, strange jump - I know, but it only took 6 weeks to get licensed, it's a hugely growing industry with lots of job security, and pays me around $45k a year starting. It's always interested me, and being that I love driving, traveling, and listening to music, plus have no spouse or children, I figured why not.

Part of the allure to me was that with all the time I could use audible books and talks to educate myself some more. I miss sales a great deal and thought that learning the stock market would be interesting and a healthy outlet for my need to wheel and deal.

I guess my question is can anyone recommend any place to start, maybe something with a little flair to it so as to keep my interest whilst driving? I'll be able to use my laptop/tablet to trade on the road easily, ideally I would like to build a portfolio with some stable long term investments, but I want to find a legal way to get some of that rush I got from brokering large drug transactions honestly.

Any pointers? Thanks.
