Hey DIY!First time poster in this sub. Currently working on a DIY where I'm framing in a doorway in our living room. I want to relocate an outlet 3' to the left, but wires aren't long enough. Debating the best way to do this:Option 1: Move outlet to left by turning existing outlet box into a splice box with blank cover plate (don't like the aesthetic).Option 2: Add a NEW outlet (two total) by running wires through studs and tie-in to this existing outlet using the screw terminals (not sure about load / safety).Current progress photos here:http://ift.tt/2rppMUh advice? Thanks!!!EDIT: This existing outlet is not wired to a switch. It's going to another outlet (in series).
