Twice now I have asked if there were items on our driving history that were affecting our insurance rates and had items listed that were incorrect! Once we had a ticket that was not recorded correctly by the police station and the other was a not-at-fault accident that was recorded as at-fault. Today all it took was a phone call from our agent and the underwriter admitted their mistake! The change should lower our rate retroactively to the beginning of the policy!
Tl-dr: Next time you negotiate a new rate (or even just to check on your current one) make sure your record is correct!
