Hello Financial Planning Reddit Community!
I am a 25-year-old Canadian, who has seen a decline in my Credit Score to levels below 650. I have a mortgage, a small line of credit with my bank, a credit card, and a few bill vendors (cell phone carrier, cable provider, hydro), all of which are paid monthly.
Over the past 4 months, I have had to dispute a number of charges with my cable provider. The deliberation ended with the cable provider assuming the unwarranted charges, but did not claim responsibility for the issue. However, as a result of the dispute, I had been repeatedly told not to make payments until the issue was resolved. As I missed 4 consecutive payments, my credit score dropped from 715 to 640.
This is where I need information and help; what does this credit drop mean for me in the long run and what can I do to bring it up again?
Any advice or insight you have is welcomed!
