I am a complete novice when it comes to DIY or hands-on projects. I am wanting to do technical DIY projects as a hobby, but have no idea of where to even start (i don't even have many tools or money to even do projects).I have a technical background (Mechanical Engineering), but I was not very hands-on in college and my job isn't very hands-on either. I have extensive CAD (modeling, surfacing, design methodologies) and CAE (structural finite element analysis) experience, but have no experience with these activities outside of the workplace.I am interested in learning more about 3D printing, machining, and electronics. Can anyone here suggest cheap, simple projects for a beginner that will "get my feet wet" in the DIY world?Would this be an acceptable beginner project? (Not even sure what tools/equipment would be needed to do the project) Any assistance/advice would be greatly appreciated!Oscilloscope project parts: Oscilloscope, Case, Signal Generator via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2s4LeLw
