I had a Zojirushi NS-LAC05 that I used multiple times a week. It truly was the best and most reliable item in my kitchen...

... until I blew it. I live in the UK and had received the rice cooker as a gift from the US. I bought a mad expensive transformer so that I could run the US cooker on UK household electricity. And then, one day, I plugged the cooker into the wrong outlet on the transformer, thus giving it the full 240 V instead of the 120 V for which it was designed. Of course, it blew out immediately with a very dramatic pop and a sizzle.

Is there any way to restore it to its former glory? If so, how? Nothing else is wrong with it, and if it can't be repaired, I'll probably never be able to afford a replacement in my lifetime.
