My toilet is old and uses a lot of water. I know because my utilities bill for normal cold water usage is high (I can give you numbers but I live in Denmark and prices are different) and I barely use water in any other way. Going by an estimate of the age of the toilet and a bit of googling I wouldn't be surprised if it uses 5+ times more water than a modern saving one. It only has 1 flush button (going number 1 uses as much water as number 2). Can I upgrade my toilet myself? The ceramic bowl and everything else is still in completely fine condition (seats been changed by me) and I believe I just need to change the flushing mechanism to a modern one. Maybe I'm wrong about this and the bowl and cistern also needs to be replaced to make sure it functions with less water?
Also, my fridge and freezer is old. So old I can't find model numbers to even check online. If possible I want to replace the gaskets that seal the compartments but since it's so old I can't find a model number I don't know where to look. I'm not even sure they're broken or needs replacing but the whole appliance is much colder than the room, I feel a cold downward "breeze" and it's running more often than I think it should.
