I work as a Supervisor at a call center making 34k, and today my Senior Operations manager and myself had a 1-on-1. She mentioned pretty clearly that she will be needing an Operations manager in the very near future and wanted to gauge my interest (which of course I said I had a lot of interest). She then flat out told me that, of the other two other most-senior members of our team, one of them stated they don't want the position, and the other was not mature/professional/experienced enough to handle the position. She then asked me how much I make currently, which she wrote down.

Unless I'm clearly misreading something, and without counting chickens before they hatch, I believe I will be getting this position (possibly without even an interview, but maybe I'm getting too cocky). I'm trying to now prepare for an upcoming talk regarding that position, and I want to maximize my benefits/earning potential.

What should I do to prepare for this?
