I work for a floundering contract company that does work through the state and federal government. Our projects are all tax payer funded and waaay over budget. The only source of income we have is for a project for 2018-2019 that has already been awarded, but not yet started. My boss wants me to bill all of my time to the new project since other funding has already dried up. He basically said that we don't have ANY other source of revenue, so if I don't do this, I can't get paid
Needless to say, I'm not o.k. with this, and if we get audited, fraud isn't something I'm trying to get involved in. I love the company and the work we did, but not enough to get him or myself in trouble over it.
Are there any options I can take before I start contacting the authorities?
