I study mechatronics micro and Nano engineering. I recently completed my bachelors degree and as a part of the course I had to work at a company. I finished the practicum at the company (with out pay) and the boss said he will employ me to continue working there
The work I had to do was develop. Program. Test. Implement, build and service a control system for a medical wastewater autoclave.
The relevant part for my thesis was the development and programming.
The rest is something I'd do as an employee. The problem is, it seems like he signed me up as an intern in order to pay me less than minimum rate (5 euros an hour) for a full time job. I am not there to learn anything. They won't teach me anything. All I am there to do is develop and program the control system. Basically to work.
The companies I've spoken to pay up to 10 fold of that for the same job. I thought I'd get a bit more than what he is going to pay me.
He needs me to work and finish the project. And I can't just leave an unfinished project. So do I use my position to squeeze more out? Or what do you guys think?
