I need a simple but powerful blender. I'm leaning on buying the 570 but I'm worried it might be too old of a product (in terms of production/design). Does anyone know if the 570 is just as good as the Total with regards to making smoothies and soups? Is the lower price of the 570 ONLY because it doesn't have as many programs as the Total? Or is the power / quality of the 570 lower than the Total?
