I just don't know where I stand...
My finances are ~$5,500 in cash, ~$300 CC Debt (usually pay off in full every month), and ~$21,500 Student Loan Debt. This leaves my Net Worth around -$16,300.
I just graduated from a Big 10 school with a Bachelor's Degree in Management (Business).
I have had 2 past internships, one with a small non-profit, and one with a multi-billion dollar company. I have had some trouble getting a job offer from the multi-billion dollar internship company (mainly because a lot of circumstantial reasons like timing, it being a conglomerate with multiple different companies, my recruiter being pregnant and having her baby a month early, etc).
Given that, I have taken an internship with a large multi-million dollar fashion/apparel company. I make $13 an hour, 40 hours, for 12 weeks. But I do not have a job lined up for when the internship ends and it doesn't look like this internship will lead to anything full time. I do have one lead with the conglomerate company, but it's been a real pain working with them (but I do love this company and would love to return in a full time role in one of their subsidiaries)
Is my situation, particularly financial (current and future earnings), looking kind of bleak, or am I doing okay as a 22yo 1 week out of graduation? I just get discouraged because all of my friends are Computer Science Majors so they had all accepted full time positions with crazy salaries already.
EDIT: I forgot to add that I currently live rent free with a family member and do not pay for my gas, but this is obviously temporary and may have to change in 12 weeks.
