Want to play a cool group exercise? A portfolio for 5 years: Buy and Forget (self.investing)

First and foremost: thanks to everyone who participated, it ended up being a great discussion with great suggestions, and it made me re-think some of my choices. I am sure other people got inspired by everyone's contribution.

My own personal outcomes from that post, after my own due diligence were:

  1. I sold $DIS, $VZ, and $GS
  2. I bought $JNJ, $PFE and $TMO for the same portfolio, and I will continue to make additional monthly buys.
  3. I started a new small portfolio with some China/Asia stocks $YY and others, the discussion convinced me that I need some exposure to that. It's just a start, I will refine the portfolio as time goes by and I will continue to make monthly buys to increase my position.

On a somewhat related note:

*I have decreased significantly my CRISPR portfolio ($NTLA, $EDIT and $CRSP) while I am still a big fan of the technology and its commercialization, I am tire of losing money on it. At some point in the near future I will start accumulating a new long position again.

  • I have increased my long position in my Robotics portfolio $ROBO, $BOTZ as well as some individual stocks like $MZOR, $IRBT and others; and I am on track with additional monthly buys.

Happy Investing!
