PF,

I find myself separating from the Military soon, unfortunately it will not be a retirement, though. For the first time in my life I'll actually have to job search, submit a resume, interview, all that jazz.

Current finances are as such:

Debt- $0. I don't owe a penny to anyone.

Checking/Savings account - $30K.

Retirement (TSP) - $124K.

Equity - Zilch. I'll have an older truck that I will bring with me back to America, but aside from that I own no land/cars/properties/etc...

Responsibilities - Just me and my dog. No spouse/children to account for.

What's the best way to make the money I have last? I intend to take advantage of my College Stipend for veterans, which should provide me around $1300 a month. I'd like to get a full time job immediately, but it's been a bit challenging trying to get hired when I don't have a 100% accurate timeline on when I'll be returning back to America. Rough estimates are August, but nothing concrete yet.

Any advice, especially from anyone who has transitioned from Active Duty military to civilian life, would be greatly appreciated.

I live in Asia, so replies to this may be late due to time zone differences. Thank you.
