I've been on here a few times, but haven't had the opportunity to do anything about my situation until now.
I had a failing sales job for 2 years. I went from a relatively healthy credit score to being completely in the gutter. I recently got a job as an accountant and I'm working on fixing things.
I am currently in debt 25k, but I also saw a letter that I'm getting sued by a credit card company for about $1398 and change.
Right now, net of taxes, travel, and health insurance costs i am taking home 2,800 a month. At the end of July i can make 2,200 payments to this debt to clear it. However, I can't do sooner because I have surgery on June 1st and it can conceivably take me 2 months to clear off those payments since I have not made any payments to my deductible yet this year.
I know this may sound really stupid but what do i do from here? What actions can I take?
