I have an elderly cat with chronic kidney disease and she takes an anti nausea medication daily. My dog takes a chewable flea and tick medication once every three months. The cat medicine costs me $48.50 per month and the dog medicine is over $60 once every three months (don't know the exact amount, sorry).
I went online and found good prices on an online pharmacy. They submitted a request to my vet for a copy of the prescription. My vet called me and said they would price match the online prices from that service. So I am now paying $21.68 monthly for the cat, and I am getting two doses for the dog (a 6-month supply) for $43.
I'm happy to save money and also very happy that I can keep my business at my vet's office. Just a tip for all of you pet owners out there!
