I think like a lot of you, I'm craving some more quality posts on this board. on a board with a half million subscribers most's posts on the front page don't score higher then 20. Every day there is only handful of posts that do really well and mostly their are news articles about Telsa or amazon. Personally, Once a week I might see a post i'm actually interested in, and that is what keeps me coming here.
We know that for 99% of retail investors, passive index fund investing with allocation between stocks and bonds (and maybe other assets) that meets your risk profile is the way to go. But even if your in that 99% a lot of folks say its okay to be active with 5 or 10% of your money.
So I'm thinking this. Once a week we have a thread to pick a stock. One stock per comment, the stock with the most upvote wins. Then we use the tips in trippers post to do some collaborative fundemantal analysis of the stock. Everyone posts their opinions, and then people can decide for themselves whether or not to buy.
