Hi
I'm 21. I have a couple credit cards, with a total credit limit of 20,500 and my credit score is 755. I got my first credit card in 2015 and I've always paid it off in full. I've never made payments on them.
I have to move out because of my job, and although I have the cash for my rent deposit and some furniture, I'll still need to charge around $1,500 on a cc. I obviously won't be paying the minimum.. I plan on paying at least $250 to $300 per month or more to pay it off. If I do this, how badly will it hurt my credit score? Is it frowned upon to do this?
I've never ever left a balance on my cards because I never knew what would happen. Nobody taught me how to use a credit card, I've gained all my info from lurking here for the past two years and it's definitely helped me build good credit. I apologize if my question is stupid, I just want to be safe.
Thanks
Edit: I've received some great help rather quickly, so my question has been answered. However, if you would like to add some input, please feel free to do so. Thanks r/personalfinance!
