Hi guys, new to the sub. Just wondering why you guys became frugal, or in what aspects are you frugal, or essentially why you're here.
For me, I am interested in retiring early. I had worked on cutting all my expenses last year after reading some interesting blogs on the subject that made it seem possible. Then, I lost my job so I kind of didn't have a choice. As I build up my own business now and go back to school (an affordable state school close to home) I find myself now able to keep a sizable emergency fund for the unexpected even on an extremely limited budget. In fact, I was able to purchase a really nice set of tires for my car this week when I needed them which I felt really freaking proud of, as lame as it sounds.
