I work for the NHL by staff bank (essentially its the trust's own internal agency). As such I'm used to certain differences between my arrangement and substantive colleagues' - I dont get paid if I have a day off sick for example.

Everywhere I've worked we've been paid a day early if payday falls on a bank holiday. In addition if the pay *processing * date is a bank holiday payroll is run a day early to ensure salary is received on the correct date. However with this trust they run it the following day so we are paid a day later.

What may be key here is that I am not paid for any days ahead - I work on week 1, my manager locks the shifts in on Monday of week 2 and I'm paid on week 3.

I'm putting together a complaint as this week I've only been paid 10% of my usual salary and wanted to know if the adjustment of pay date/pay processing date is a legal requirement or simply established "best practice" so I know whether this should be included.

Thanks
