Im 25, single, making $117,000. No debt. Monthly expense bill is about $300-$500.

I have $18,000 in my 401K but i'd like to shift all of it to IRA and individually pick ETFs for long term. Mostly in automation/robotics and couple vanguard ETFs. Also looking at couple long term stocks such as Shopify.

Anyways, I feel 401k is playing it too safe and not aggressive enough for someone in my situation. I have more aggressive mentality because i can afford to lose if market took a U-turn.

Is there anything I should consider before I do this and does anybody suggest I shouldn't do this? Is this normal to do?
