Hello! My s.o. And I have been together for 5 years and have lived in our current house for 1yr 4months. The current mortgage is only in her name and I've been writing her a check every month for about 65% of the mortgage payment.
We've recently been looking into the school district and have decided that moving to a different town would be better for our sons education. This time around she just got a pre approval for a new mortgage without even considering adding me. I feel that I should be on it if we're going to be living there, taking care of it, and paying for it together.
What do you think I should do? She doesn't seem to like the idea of both of us on a mortgage together because we're not married yet, but I'm waiting for the right time to propose.
