We have those stove vents where this goes up thru to the roof. Replacing it we learned that it was only secured by 1 screw. So new vent - will use carbon filter and not vent it out. Question is - the roof vent - do I need to close it off? It's capped and doesn't have ways for birds to get thru but how the heck did rain/moisture not trickle thru to begin with!? via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2pfFMqP
