Unfortunately my camera broke but this is a ceramic bowl sink that has perfectly-rounded sides ie no lip at the top, it just falls-in / rests-in the circular cut-out in the vanity (the faucet is integrated into the vanity in a separate / detached manner, not a part of the sink basin)My question is, I was at home depot picking up plumbers putty to put in a ring around the perimeter of the vanity's cut-out, to settle the sink into (before caulking), and the guy there told me not to do that - have I been doing it wrong? I'm afraid to put it in without knowing, my plan was to use plumber's putty for the drainage ring in the center of the basin, and around the perimeter of the vanity cut-out; silicone the edge of the sink//vanity interface; tape and thread the drain pipe. Hopefully I'm doing that right!! via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2pBlo3w
