As the title says, my school deposited some money as a "refund" , but I have already gotten my refund for the semester. It is also exactly half of the amount for a grant the school gave me this semester, and I was looking at my financial aid records and it says I got it last semester, which I did not. So best I can tell they are giving me the extra since it's the end of the 2016-17 year, but I have to wait until Monday to confirm.
I was wondering what I should do with it, if I am able to keep it. I was thinking about throwing some in a savings account or cd, but my current savings account has a .05% apr. So I was hoping this wonderful subreddit could give me some advice.

Edit: I won't be touching the money until it is confirmed by the school.
