Hello all,

Need help on a decision. I've an older car with higher miles that I purchased nearly three and a half years ago. It's a 2006 Kia sportage that I purchased with 120,000 miles. First owner, dealer maintained. It now has 150,000 miles. Other than regular maintenance such as brakes, pads, tires and fluids, the car has been flawless. Nothing out of the ordinary.

I'm being told that it would be better to change the car now as it's older and at a higher percentage for a catastrophic failure to occur than with a newer, lower mileage car.

I've the financial means to get into a newer car but like to play it frugal.

What is the best approach on this guys in terms of a logical decision that is sound in a reliable car and financial?

Thanks!
