It won't see too much action, but should have reasonable printing and scanning quality. I'm willing to go up to $150 if there is a really good reason to. I obviously want to avoid products that lie about ink levels, but if it's a good product I don't mind a little DIY.
Edit: Apparently, the printer market is full of planned obsolescence these days. I guess I'm looking for something under $100 that isn't absolutely horrible.
