((This is my first time posting to this subreddit, so please tell me if this fits here or not)) My father had died in August of 2016 leaving me, my 9 year old brother, my 6 year old sister and my barely english speaking mother behind. He had taken care of all our finances, and kept everything a secret, never teaching my mother how to do taxes, bill payments, etc. So when he had suddenly passed, we were left with a loan that he had just taken($15,000? he put it under my mother's name in it as well), a $700 mortgage, and our only income coming from social security and what little we have left from out credit cards. Here's where it gets worrisome. She wants to drop everything, take nothing but the little what we can fit in our baggage, and move to Moscow, her home country. I had asked her do you have enough for the tickets? Yes. Do you have enough for transportation? "Maybe.." Do you have enough for a hotel/motel? "No. We'll get an apartment instead." ???????????????????????????? I'm worried out of my mind, we have no family here, and most of my friends are across the country since we had just moved from WA to here in FL... Should I follow her, and risk being on the streets in a foreign country? Should I tell her to wait until we have money?(but she's saying she signed for "foreclosure"?) If I do decided to go, will me and my siblings be safe? I'd hate to do it, but I do have a boyfriend who's 19 and already has stable income... I could ask him if we could stay with him.. or at least I could go there alone and maybe get a job (though he lives in South Korea). Oh god I already sound so hopeless.. TL;DR My mom is leaving our life behind, and moving to Russia with no money. Is there any hope for us?
