So my boyfriend and I moved in with some housemates (another couple) and as it's the first time we're having a bit of trouble splitting the costs.

I usually go to hypermarkets and look for inexpensive products, whereas the other girl goes to upmarket stores to buy overpriced groceries. She usually cooks because she's home first, and we all eat together most nights. However, she's saying we will keep all grocery receipts and split it four ways, which is problematic. I don't want to pay for overpriced toilet paper and expensive meat because of her shopping habits, at he same time I don't want to cause issues so early by refusing to pay my way.

Any suggestions on how to split the costs where I'm not throwing away money unnecessarily but that we maintain a good relationship?

Tl;dr - housemates waste money by shopping inefficiently for groceries and now wants to split all costs.
