Hi, I'm very new to this community, however I'm hoping someone more informed than me can help me out.A big problem for me when photographing waterfalls or in the rain is droplets and sometimes condensation on the front element of my camera lenses. For the longest time I have envied Nikon with their fluorine coating and similar hydrophobic technologies from other manufacturers, but the majority of the lenses I've owned don't feature it.I've seen numerous products online, showing spray on and wipe on solutions for general use or on automotive glass, but I'm hesitant to try one of them in case they have a serious impact on the optical quality of my lenses. Has anyome had any experience? I don't mind a small drop in quality, but anything major is worrying.I'm thinking if i were to try this solution I would apply it to a clear or uv filter in case it has extreme effects.Something like rain x seems to work well for repelling droplets for a few people on gopro lenses.Thanks.Edit: https://youtu.be/eDJkDq-bxUw an example of Nikon's technology, obviously it is a promo video but anything that works even remotely as well would be incredibly valuable to me via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2oKAf7a
