Details: Wife and I have been working on restoring this metal cabinet set from the 1940s. It had three layers of paint that we've been stripping and scrubbing and grinding off. Also, a lot of rust. I had to drill out the screws just to get the cabinet doors off.Problem: One of the door frames is rusted through at the bottom, and it broke. I have zero welding experience. This is the first metal furniture I've worked on at all. It does still make contact when pushed back in, but I don't know how to reconnect this without welding. My instinct is bondo. (Please don't mock me!)Additional stuff: We intend to repaint the whole thing and then use some nice wooden planks to create a new floor inside the cabinet. It will be used to store chemicals and other household stuff, nothing edible or used to make food. That spot in the pics is the only place where there are any holes. I don't know if any of this is relevant, but, you know, details. Thanks in advance for any response. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2plZltP
