I'm 22, my grandparents needed their deck to be rebuilt and contractors were quoting them ridiculous prices and I wanted to try to help them out since they've done so much for me in the past. Never done a deck before but have a decent amount of common sense and know how. Finished the basement of my house on my own, figure kid I could probably tackle a deck. Here are a few photos. Initially. My grandpa was commenting on how he would step on deck boards and they would flex. The first photo shows why (also contains some progress):http://ift.tt/2oebEaD photo shows when I began to set new posts with concert, leveling everything out, as opposed to the old posts that had no concrete and were slapped in half assed:http://ift.tt/2oFO0aX the center floor joint with the floating deck over to the right:http://ift.tt/2oe6DyO done installing the trusses:http://ift.tt/2oG0Q9l, finally, after all the deck boards were installed, you can observe my happy grandparents enjoying a few drinks on their newly finished deck.
