Around two months ago, there was a post here about a sale from a small boutique called Citizen Frederick. The deals were great andI ended up buying two pairs of shoes for $100 total. I immediately received an email confirmation from Shopify and waited eagerly for the shoes to ship. They never did and that was the last I heard from Citizen Frederick. Weeks went by and then months. My emails were not responded to and I eventually decided to file a chargeback. today I received an email from my bank saying my chargeback had been declined. While my claim was that the goods were never delivered, Citizen Frederick only provided documentation to my bank that the transaction was made by me. No shipping information was ever sent to me, nor provided to my bank. Now I'm stuck filing a dispute for $100 that I feel like I'll never see again. Let this be a cautionary tale for deal-seekers; sometimes if a deal looks too good to be true, it might be.
